Role Description

We are expanding and strengthening our internal Finance team as our operations continue to grow and develop. We are looking for an experienced Accountant who would like to work in an international environment and take responsibilities in the area of accounting and tax compliance with a long-term perspective.

About the position

This role is part of our internal finance team. The person in this position will manage accounting processes, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and maintain accurate and timely reporting in a multi-country environment, and will continuously grow in worldwide knowledge.

What you'll do

• Managing accounting processes for entities operating under US and/or EU regulations.
• Posting and controlling accounting transactions.
• Maintaining the general ledger and supporting documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and/or relevant EU regulations (IAS/IFRS and local laws).
• Monitoring tax thresholds, nexus rules, and regulatory changes across jurisdictions.
• Management of indirect tax compliance related to SaaS and digital services (sales tax, VAT, reverse charge mechanisms, OSS/IOSS where applicable).
• Performing account reconciliations (AP/AR, billing platforms, and balance sheet accounts).
• Preparing balance sheet and profit & loss/income statements.
• Coordination and working on the preparation of complete documentation for annual income tax filings.
• Supporting audits and cooperating with external advisors when required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience as an Accountant.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the GAAP and IAS.
• Experience in US or EU accounting is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (like QuickBooks, etc.).
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• BSc in Accounting or relevant degree.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work in CET timezone.
• Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin).

• Experience in consolidating financial statements.
