[Hiring] Account Technician II @State of Illinois

Role Description

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of Claims Processing, is seeking to hire a self-motivated and detail-oriented Account Technician II in the Adjustment Unit. This position is responsible for performing technical accounting work, verifying and reconciling billings from vendors of Healthcare and Family Services, performing entry of payments into accounting databases, and assisting in the general execution of inter and intra-agency financial processes as well as serving as a technical expert in the Adjustment Unit.

• General understanding of accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college.
• One (1) year of technical accounting experience or four (4) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.

Requirements

• Completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
• Ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop.
