[Hiring] Account Payable Specialist @D.S. Murphy

Role Description

D.S. Murphy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for handling our company's bills and managing our accounts payable ledger. Key duties will include:

• Managing outflow cash payments
• Performing daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments
• Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable’s data
• Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verifying discrepancies by resolving clients’ billing issues
• Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Generating financial reports detailing accounts payable status

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Specialist
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
