Role Description

This role involves managing tax filings, ensuring compliance, and advising clients with precision and clarity.

Tax Preparation & Compliance:
- Prepare and file corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns using ProConnect and QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, staying updated on any legislative changes.
- Handle tax planning and strategy, identifying deductions and credits to optimize tax positions.
Tax Research & Advisory:
- Conduct in-depth tax research to resolve complex issues and provide accurate guidance to clients.
- Work directly with clients to explain tax implications, strategies, and filing requirements in a clear and approachable way.
- Assist with IRS audits, tax notices, and responses, ensuring clients remain in good standing.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate tax reports, estimates, and summaries to help clients make informed decisions.
- Utilize Excel and Office 365 to organize tax data and create clear financial breakdowns.
- Leverage AI tools like ChatGPT to draft insightful tax summaries and client communications.
Leadership & Growth Opportunities:
- Take ownership of process improvements and help refine internal tax workflows.
- Over time, step into a leadership role, mentoring junior tax professionals.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team that values proactive tax management over reactive accounting.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual tax filings.
Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and tax software.
Ability to explain tax concepts to clients in a clear, non-technical way.
Capable of conducting thorough tax research and identifying strategic opportunities.
Able to anticipate client needs, resolve tax issues, and work autonomously.
Comfortable using Excel, Office 365, and AI tools to enhance tax workflows.
Willing to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the firm’s expansion.
