Role Description
Local Crafts Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our company and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including:
- Entering the day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Processing invoices and payments.
- Managing sales tax software and ensuring tax returns are filed.
- Reconciling and completing monthly and annual closing procedures.
- Running weekly reports and KPI calculations.
- Posting trade show sales and reconciling cash.
- Working with other departments to resolve accounting related issues.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting with one year of staff accounting experience, or a bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration with two to three years of staff accounting experience.
- Experience in inventory, taxes, prepaids, bank reconciliation, merchant reconciliation, month-end closing, and journal entries.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines while remaining organized.
- Independently solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Effectively communicate with offices and teams in other locations and time zones.
- MS Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills.
