Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Legal Operations Manager to lead and enhance our legal operations function. This role is pivotal in streamlining legal processes and implementing tools and systems to support our dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal operations within high-growth tech companies and a passion for consumer subscription apps.
- Legal Operations Management: Develop and oversee legal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department.
- Contract Management: Manage the lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining a centralized repository.
- Technology Implementation: Identify and deploy legal technology solutions to streamline workflows, such as contract management systems and compliance tracking tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments including Product, Marketing, Finance, and HR to provide legal guidance and support business objectives.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Policy Development: Create and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Operational Efficiencies: Create and manage SLAs, resource pages, playbooks, intake processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field; JD or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in legal operations, preferably within the technology sector.
- Proven track record of implementing legal processes and systems that enhance organizational efficiency.
- Experience with legal technology tools and platforms, including AI tools to increase operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements
- Certified Legal Operations Professional (CLOC) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma or project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Familiarity with industry best practices through memberships in organizations like ACC (Association of Corporate Counsel) or other legal operations networks.
