Role Description

We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals and supporting reconciliations.
Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Assist with system ERP improvements and maintenance to become an expert in the ERP system assisting and training others.
Support the audit process, working closely with external auditors.
Assist in the implementation of effective accounting controls and business processes, including research and implementation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function. Implement best practices to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.
Mentor, teach and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team.
Participate in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to interpret and apply them in financial reporting.
Experience with leading accounting software platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong knowledge of designing and implementing internal controls related to financial processes, including segregation of duties, audit trails, and controls around financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
4+ years accounting/finance month end close or general ledger experience.
Prior Audit Experience. Big 4 a plus, but not necessary.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP/Netsuite) preferred.
Experience with bill.com or similar billing/invoicing software.
Strong excel and/or google sheets skills, comfortable with extremely large volumes of data.
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment a plus.
