Role Description
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to help Quidax navigate the complex legal and regulatory landscape of fintech, crypto, and payments. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and enabling business growth while working closely with the Legal Manager and cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Be Owning

Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Achieve 100% compliance with relevant fintech and crypto regulations across key markets.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory changes, advising leadership on risks and opportunities.
- Lead proactive legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure smooth licensing processes.

Enable Business Growth While Managing Legal Risk
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts that protect Quidax’s interests while enabling partnerships.
- Provide legal guidance on new product launches, market expansion, and strategic initiatives.
- Support business teams with clear, actionable legal advice to drive revenue and operations.

Improve Legal Processes & Operational Efficiency
- Reduce contract review turnaround time by 30% through process optimization.
- Develop and implement scalable legal frameworks that align with business objectives.
- Enhance collaboration between legal, compliance, finance, and product teams for seamless execution.
Biggest Challenges You’ll Tackle
- Navigating evolving global crypto and fintech regulations while maintaining business agility.
- Balancing risk management with enabling aggressive market expansion goals.
- Ensuring product compliance while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
- Establishing strong legal structures in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience in fintech, payments, or technology sectors.
- Deep understanding of payment law, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to work across multiple legal disciplines (commercial, regulatory, IP, risk).
- LL.B. and Call to Bar; additional business or finance qualifications are a plus.
- Strong research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and remote-first environment.
Requirements
- Experience advising on cross-border transactions (nice to have).
- Exposure to regulatory filings and licensing frameworks (nice to have).
- Background in dispute resolution or risk advisory (nice to have).
Reporting Line
You’ll report directly to the Legal Manager, working closely with leadership, compliance, and product teams to ensure Quidax operates within legal frameworks while aggressively scaling.
