Role Description
This role involves driving forward key deals that will enable Climate KIC to make rapid changes to net-zero and climate resilience through financial innovation.
- Analyse funding needs expressed by individual innovation projects and integrate these into a wider funding plan.
- Collect and organise information/data around investment opportunities for effective outreach to potential investors.
- Contribute to the development of a fundraising strategy to attract multiple stakeholders for coordinated funding plans.
- Share investment experience and knowledge with Climate KIC partners, particularly via the Net Zero Cities Capital Hub.
- Act as key point of contact on adaptation innovation projects, facilitating working groups and collaborative initiatives.
- Participate in the community of investment innovation partners to build a strong community of practice in investing for system transformation.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic degree in financial services.
- 4-5 years working experience in financial services, with a focus on sustainable finance highly preferable.
- Experience in project finance, business development, and execution.
- Experience working in a private sector financial services institution, ideally on large scale infrastructure investment structuring.
- Proven experience of fundraising and engagement with public/private sector financing institutions.
- Exposure to Irish or City finance innovation ecosystems highly desirable.
Requirements
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work remotely and digitally across multiple organisations using collaborative IT applications.
- Working knowledge of different financial instruments and their utility in various scenarios.
- Willingness to develop an understanding of system thinking and how to use innovation to influence system dynamics.
