Role Description

Manage the Company’s financial strategy and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: develop and execute the company’s overall financial strategy, aligning with business objectives and investor expectations. Provide guidance on capital allocation, fundraising, and scaling initiatives.
  • Financial Operations: manage day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to investors and relevant authorities.
  • Token Management: manage the finance and tax-related aspects of token compensation for employees.

Competencies

  • Must have:
    • Proven track record of financial leadership roles, ideally in high-growth tech startups.
    • Direct experience managing token-based financial operations and compliance, both before and after network launch.
    • Proficiency in modern financial tools and platforms.
    • Understanding of the finance and tax considerations relating to blockchain tokens.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience in the machine learning space.

Be anti-fragile - balance short-term risk for long-term outcomes. Reject waste - guard the company’s time, rather than wasting it in meetings without clear purpose/focus, or bikeshedding. Build thinly - build and design thinly.
