Role Description
Turn is seeking an ambitious and diligent Financial Analyst to perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking, as well as analyze financial data and assist in building financial models. This role will report to the CEO to support all finance and accounting functions. Core to the role is strong accounting fundamentals, organization, and communication skills.
- Working alongside accounting personnel during the monthly close process to ensure the preparation and reporting of timely and accurate financial results.
- Developing dashboards that provide a clear view of the business by visually translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Preparing rolling budgets and forecasts and variance analysis of actuals vs. budget.
- Analyzing financial data and preparing reports with insights, trends and recommended actions.
- Assisting with investor reporting and other ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Assisting with developing and maintaining financial models.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of finance experience, preferably in VC-backed or technology companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field required; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Mastery of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office & Google Business software, experience with data visualization tools preferred.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Major bonus points for hands-on experience with: QBO, Netsuite, or SQL.
