Role Description
This role involves supporting end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for management and investors, including financial reports, presentations, and dashboards
- Build and refine detailed financial models that forecast and analyze expenses to understand sources of variance, improve forecast accuracy, and advise the business on performance improvement
- Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, and assess current and future business risk
- Work with the Accounting team in the monthly close process to ensure timeliness and accuracy of entries
- Partner with business teams across the company, establishing trust, building relationships, and gaining a deep understanding of financial priorities and drivers
- Partner with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to build and maintain financial and operational reporting tools
- Participate in new FP&A initiatives, including ad hoc analysis and process improvement
- Support the strategic/long-range planning process by providing financial insights and analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, preferably in high-growth companies in the technology or internet sectors with an understanding of corporate finance or a combination of education and experience
- Experience with financial systems, particularly Workday Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, and NetSuite
- Experience with Looker or other Business Intelligence Platforms, a plus
- SaaS experience preferred
Requirements
- Strong financial and operational planning skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience preparing presentations and visualizations
- Ability to multi-task effectively, working in team environments or independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver error-free work
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities
- Experience driving Opex forecasting and reporting processes preferred
- Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and Excel skills required
Education, Certifications, Licenses
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
