Role Description

This role involves establishing and continuously developing financial processes and controlling systems throughout the company.

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
Handle invoice processing, documentation management, and expense tracking.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop and maintain financial controlling processes.
Take ownership of finance reporting tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Build and optimise reporting processes, either from scratch or by improving existing structures.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collect and analyse KPIs on a regular basis to monitor performance and provide actionable insights.
Ensure compliance with German accounting standards and tax regulations.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors.
Implement and optimise financial tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
Directly report to the Co-Founder & CPO of Recyda.

Qualifications

Background in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/controlling.
Strong knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB).
Experience in financial administration including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and receipt management.
Proficient in accounting software and digital bookkeeping systems (e.g., SevDesk, DATEV, Chargebee).
Strong background in handling day-to-day financial operations and documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organisational talent with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (Native speaker) and English (B1-Level).
Startup experience is a plus.
