Role Description

The Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate Finance will help with various tasks surrounding the GAAP financial close. The candidate will focus on accuracy, timeliness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work with various financial systems, data sets, and reporting tools to prepare financial reporting schedules, reports and journal entries.
  • Combine financial knowledge with exceptional technical expertise in report building, data analysis, and process automation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate assistance in the GAAP financial close (compiling data for P&L calculations, assist in the Balance Sheet MD&A roll forward and maintenance etc.)
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to create financial statements and schedules to report the company’s financial performance.
  • Build and optimize complex financial reports and dashboards using advanced Excel techniques and other reporting tools.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills to generate detailed financial schedules such as Profit and Loss statements, Written Premium reports, and Acquisition Expense schedules.
  • Reconcile general ledger to financial reporting database.
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for financial information from various corporate and business partners.
  • Uphold internal controls and assist with external audit requests, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Display a positive attitude, initiative, teamwork, integrity, and strong work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and organize significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at quickly adjusting to new responsibilities and thrive in an ever-changing work environment, consistently maintaining a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Experience with Workday, TM1, or OneStream are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including complex functions.
  • Ability to manage and interpret large datasets and integrate data from diverse sources.
  • High level of proficiency in leveraging Microsoft Excel advanced formulas, including VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, and what-if statements to effectively manipulate, sort, and filter data for comprehensive analysis.
  • High attention to detail, a desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency are a must.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to multi-task under tight time frames.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related discipline.
  • Shift: Night Shift.
