Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Finance to play a critical role in our continued growth and success. This is a strategic and hands-on role that will report directly to the CEO and have a significant impact on the company's financial health and trajectory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong FP&A background, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain robust financial models, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning. Analyze key financial metrics, such as burn rate, runway, and unit economics, to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, investments, and banking relationships. Optimize cash flow and ensure the company has the financial resources to support its growth objectives.
- Investor Relations: Prepare investor updates, board presentations, and other financial reports. Communicate effectively with investors and stakeholders on the company's financial performance and strategy.
- Strategic Finance: Partner with the CEO and other leaders on key strategic decisions, including pricing, investment allocation, and growth initiatives. Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and extend the company's runway. Negotiate with vendors and optimize payment terms.
- Tax & Accounting: Oversee tax compliance and manage relationships with external accountants and bookkeepers. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with a focus on FP&A.
- Experience in a high-growth technology startup environment is essential.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with AI tools is a plus.

Hiring Process

- Initial phone screens for shortlisted candidates
- Interview with Co-Founder & CEO, Ned Dwyer
- Assignment Review
- Finance Interview
- Leadership interview with Co-Founder & CTO PJ Murray
- Reference checks with a past manager, and if relevant, a person you have managed
Note - Each interview is sequential, so you’ll only move to the next round if you pass the previous one. After each interview, we’ll aim to notify you if you’re progressing within 3 days of your interview taking place.
