Role Description
The Contract Specialist will manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including:
- Drafting from approved templates
- Negotiation
- Execution
- Administration
This role requires excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across legal, procurement, and other departments. Strong administration and organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and maintaining contracts with sub-contractors
- Managing a contract registry to track deadlines and approvals for renewals and amendments
- Tracking contract compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Contracts Specialist, or similar role
- Strong administrative skills and high proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and Acrobat Professional
- Understanding contract management best practices
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools, with experience using databases, document management systems, and electronic signature platforms
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality results and customer service excellence
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to plan and prioritize your own workload, act on own initiative and effectively manage a multi-faceted workload
- Ethics and values focused
- Self-motivator comfortable with working remotely
- Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check
