Role Description
The Commercial Counsel role will support Scaled Agile as a trusted advisor on commercial matters with a focus on sales transactions and related data privacy matters. Responsibilities will include:
- Support company growth by providing outstanding transactional support to worldwide sales teams
- Review, negotiate, and draft inbound and outbound commercial agreements with enterprise customers and company vendors
- Evolve and optimize company data protection processes and agreements
- Support ongoing improvement of company standard form agreements and legal processes
- Embrace continuous learning and a commitment to relentless improvement
Qualifications
- J.D. degree with admission to and good standing in a U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney preferably with in-house experience
- Strong background in commercial contract analysis and negotiation, preferably within technology
- Familiarity with supporting sales teams and efficiently shepherding deals through monthly and quarterly sales cycles
- Knowledge and practical understanding of current international data privacy regulations
- A business-oriented approach to handling legal complexity and risk
- Impeccable standards of ethics and integrity
