Role Description
This role involves performing moderate to highly complex accounting tasks, supporting the monthly general ledger close process, and analyzing financial data.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations with moderate to high complexity.
- Review general ledger details and expense run rates to identify adjustments and reclassifications.
- Apply U.S. GAAP knowledge and company policies to address moderate to complex accounting issues.
- Oversee and coordinate assigned accounting tasks and processes.
- Participate in the monthly general ledger close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
- Analyze financial data to interpret past performance and project future financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Document and monitor system controls, procedures, and forms.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.
- Provide support for ad hoc tasks within General Ledger, Indirect Tax, North America Compensation, and Lease Accounting Teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (strongly preferred) or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel (required).
- Experience with financial accounting software applications such as SAP, BPC, Analytics for Office (AFO), and Blackline (a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
