Role Description
Legal Intern at Partners in Justice International (PJI) involves supporting justice processes for victims and survivors of grave crimes.
- Provide practical support to serious crime prosecutors, victim representatives, and investigators.
- Facilitate the circulation and exchange of knowledge among practitioners and experts globally.
- Strategically intervene in litigation and international procedures to advance victims' rights.
- Work primarily involves legal research and writing related to domestic litigation.
Qualifications
- Second or third-year law student interns preferred; exceptional first-year law students may be considered.
- Familiarity with human rights law, international criminal and humanitarian law, and evidence law is ideal.
- Remote work capability with availability for meetings between 11:00 and 17:00 UK time.
Requirements
- Ability to conduct legal research and writing.
- Understanding of domestic litigation, evidence, procedure, and domestic law.
Benefits
- PJI will sponsor selected interns for funding opportunities.
- No independent funding available to pay legal interns.
