Role Description

As a Technical Engineer (Pre-sales & Service) at SOLPLANET, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers and sales team through various technical functions.

• Pre-sales technical:
  • Help customers and sales team clarify all necessary pre-sales technical questions, designs, solutions, etc.
  • Deliver online or onsite training to Solplanet colleagues, customers such as distributors and installers.
  • Speak at Solplanet or channel partners’ online or offline events.
  • Collect market information (market trends, policy, regulation, competitor setups, products, services, etc.) and share internally.
  • Prepare RBR (Regional Business Review) every quarter.
• After-sales service:
  • Develop workable and useful after-sales service infrastructure/methods for Southeast Asia markets.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support to installers and other customers via phone or digital channels.
  • Support customers by training, providing application engineering services, and general technical consultancy in solar photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems, and EV chargers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in Solplanet’s distributor, installer, EPC, developer, and end-user network.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to maintain customer relationships, gain customer trust, and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Provide commissioning support (remote or on-site).
  • Actively collaborate with international and local colleagues/departments to effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics to dispatch inverters for replacement and assist in the collection of inverters.
  • Support the qualification, onboarding, and management of new service partners.
  • Accurately document all relevant case information using CRM software.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve products and processes to enhance customer satisfaction and company cost-effectiveness.
  • Regularly collect feedback such as customer satisfaction to assist in continuous improvement of the after-sales process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above technical degrees, preferably in electrical engineering, renewable energy, photovoltaic engineering, or similar disciplines.
• Fluent in local language and business fluent in English.
• In-depth knowledge of the technical requirements for PV, energy storage systems, and EV chargers in the distribution and/or utility scale segments, including product specifications, grid code requirements, competitive landscape, tender requirements, etc.
• Ability to work independently and focused in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Prior work experience in a PV related industry is not a necessity but will be an advantage.
