Role Description

We're looking for an engineering manager who can lead a team of experienced SRE engineers and raise the standard of what reliability looks like in a blockchain infrastructure context.

• The team is technically capable and needs someone who can set engineering direction.
• Build the conditions for good work.
• Think clearly about reliability as a discipline: SLOs, error budgets, blameless postmortems.

Qualifications

• Systems thinking: Genuine understanding of distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure.
• Reliability: Experience in or leading a team that takes SRE seriously.
• Automation: Ability to build teams that automate repetitive work.
• People development: Track record of engineers growing under your leadership.
• Comfort with unusual territory: Ability to navigate blockchain infrastructure properties.

Requirements

• Credibility with technically skilled engineers.
• Knowledge of error budgets and SLO calibration.
• Experience running postmortems that lead to improvements.
• Ability to lead teams in automating processes.
• Willingness to adapt to the unique aspects of blockchain infrastructure.
