[Hiring] Senior VDC Engineer, Electrical @VIATechnik

Role Description

This is a remote role within the United States. US work authorization is required.

VIATechnik is looking for a Senior VDC Engineer who wants to lead complex electrical BIM/VDC projects end-to-end, owning model quality, guiding global teams, and working directly with electrical subcontractor clients to solve real constructability challenges before construction begins.

In this role, you'll operate as both a technical authority and trusted client partner, translating incomplete or ambiguous design information into coordinated, buildable electrical models that align with schedule, budget, and field execution.

You'll work across commercial and industrial projects in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment where VDC is treated as a strategic advantage—not a downstream service.

Qualifications

• Ownership of complex, high-impact electrical VDC projects
• Direct client-facing leadership and decision-making responsibility
• Experience leading and scaling global modeling teams
• The opportunity to influence standards, workflows, and best practices across an industry-leading organization
• Exposure to advanced digital tools and evolving BIM/VDC workflows that accelerate professional growth

Requirements

• Delivering coordinated, constructible electrical models that prevent downstream field issues and reduce rework
• Leading global modeling teams with clear scope, strong quality control, and predictable delivery
• Running coordination conversations with confidence, resolving clashes and managing ambiguity under schedule pressure
• Earning repeat client trust by positioning VDC as a value-driver, not a checkbox
• Improving how work gets done, through better workflows, smarter tool usage, and shared best practices

Benefits

• The pay for this position is $90,000 – $110,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses.
• Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen).

• Open and flexible time off.
• A 401(k) plan that is fully vested immediately.
• Home office setup costs.
• Paid holidays.
