Role Description

The Systems Engineer Sr. Principal is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of The Home Depot's technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware, database, and system software components.

• Help accelerate delivery speed and quality through technical expertise and leadership.
• Key contact point for sharing and engaging with principal software engineers.
• Interface with 3rd party vendors to ensure technical needs are met.
• Support 4-6 different teams across a variety of functioning products.
• Ensure optimal resource usage and identify opportunities to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 7-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with platform tools and technologies, including Kubernetes and CNCF projects.
• Familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Experience with core data solutions including SQL Server and Oracle is a plus.
• Experience using AI-assisted development practices.
• Mastery in assigned domains.
• Active participation in or leadership of professional groups affiliated with specific domains.
• 2-3+ years of previous leadership experience.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 9 years of work experience.
• Minimum education: High school diploma and/or GED.

Salary Information

The pay range for this position is between $170,000.00 - $280,000.00 for residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington.
