Role Description

At AIS, we are seeking a talented individual to join us as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer. This role involves:

• Aligning infrastructure strategy to business goals.
• Leading large projects and applying compliance frameworks.
• Designing high availability/disaster recovery and performance optimization patterns.
• Shaping deployment pipeline design.
• Directing cross-team programs and performing advanced tuning.
• Implementing high availability/failover architectures.
• Leading audits, planning growth, and managing budgets.
• Delivering high-quality outcomes and setting team standards.
• Introducing innovative solutions and making high-impact decisions.
• Leading the engineering team and developing talent.
• Resolving conflicts and communicating effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Providing high-level consulting to leadership and building roadmaps.
• Negotiating vendor contracts and sponsoring innovation initiatives.

Your initial project assignment will support the unique needs of our client as a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for new cloud architecture design, development, and integration of new architectural features into existing cloud infrastructures.
• Lead multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of cybersecurity system architecture.
• Apply cyber security standards, directives, guidance, and policies to a cloud architectural framework.
• Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs for the cloud hosting environment.
• Provide broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and specific cyber security initiatives relating to cloud architectural design and development.
• Resolve cloud architecture implementation issues during integration and testing.
• Interface with internal and external entities for various solution-related activities.
• Develop and deliver end-to-end, complex, enterprise-level solutions that meet current and future capability requirements.
• Considered an emerging authority, applying extensive technical expertise.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
• Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering/documentation practices.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
