  • Develop technically sound and practical RCx measures, including engineering analysis, energy and demand savings calculations, implementation cost estimates, payback, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
  • Prepare complete RCx studies and technical reports documenting facility conditions, identified opportunities, analysis methodologies, savings calculations, recommended actions, implementation requirements, and expected project benefits.
  • Work directly with facility managers, operators, maintenance personnel, contractors, and other customer representatives to understand operational needs, validate findings, explain recommendations, and support implementation of identified measures.
  • Provide implementation support by helping customers and contractors interpret recommendations, troubleshoot technical issues, refine control strategies, and confirm that recommended measures are implemented as intended.
  • Perform or support measurement and verification (M&V) activities using pre- and post-implementation data to confirm measure performance, quantify realized savings, and document project results.
  • Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle, including scheduling site visits, coordinating data collection, tracking open items, maintaining project documentation, meeting program milestones, and completing deliverables on schedule.
  • Support customer outreach and project development activities by participating in customer meetings, explaining RCx services and program benefits, discussing potential opportunities, and helping identify facilities that may be good candidates for participation.
  • Coordinate closely with outreach staff and other program team members to transition prospective customers into active RCx projects and maintain strong customer engagement throughout the project.
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent RCx projects, potentially including up to approximately 20 active projects, while balancing field work, engineering analysis, customer communication, implementation support, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Exercise independent engineering judgment in resolving technical and project-related issues, while collaborating with the broader engineering team and utilizing peer review and technical support when appropriate.
  • Participate in engineering peer reviews and incorporate technical feedback to maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across calculations, recommendations, and final deliverables.
  • Clearly communicate technical findings, project status, implementation barriers, and recommended next steps to customers, utility representatives, internal project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify technical, operational, and customer barriers that may limit project implementation and develop practical solutions to improve measure adoption and project outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement of RCx methodologies, engineering calculation tools, report templates, technical resources, and program processes based on lessons learned from field implementation.
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with customers, utility stakeholders, contractors, and internal team members through responsive communication and high-quality technical work.
