[Hiring] Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems @Integer Technologies

Role Description

Provide deep technical expertise in Naval power and energy systems, including hardware performance, physics, and component controls, and supervisory system controls.

• Deliver client-facing models, simulations, and reports.
• Develop, test, and validate software for supervisory control of Naval power systems.
• Develop software to implement supervisory controls for power systems.
• Support technical execution of power system modeling & simulation projects.
• Build and validate models using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Build and validate models for real-time simulation environments for use in hardware-in-the-loop environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoW Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems and/or microgrids.
• Deep expertise with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with supervisory control methods for power systems, especially maritime systems (e.g., machinery control systems, electric plant control systems).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver clear technical reports and concise briefings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in naval power systems design.
• Expertise programming in Python, C++, or similar.
• Deep expertise in real-time simulation & testing with Speedgoat or equivalent HIL platform.
• Experience in energy storage system design, modeling, and optimization.
• Expertise in laboratory testing, system integration, and data-driven validation.
• Expertise in electric machines and motor drives.
• Experience developing models for shipboard HM&E (hull, mechanical, and electrical) systems.
• Experience with Navy customers.
