Role Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer (BESS/Storage/Power Plants) will be responsible for:

• Identifying opportunities for innovative technologies and projects.
• Interpreting and summarizing industry trends and technology forecasts to make recommendations having significant impact on extensive engineering and related activities for the company.
• Leading collaborations with suppliers on solution strategies.
• Evaluating products and/or services for adequacy, accuracy, and usability.
• Validating the requirements and deliverables that describe the product(s) or service(s).
• Providing input into and executing user documentation and training material.
• Obtaining and providing approval for changes to rules, processes, and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Electrical engineering system design (5+ years).
• Experience with Electrical engineering principles and practices applied to a broad variety of assignments and fields.
• Experience with Codes, standards, and regulations, including safety codes and regulations.
• Experience with Electrical engineering system design, equipment, top-tier suppliers, and installation.
• Experience with Electrical engineering design architecture at a component-level, project-level, and portfolio level.
• Experience with Technical, commercial, and financial acumen.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with Basic engineering calculations using spreadsheets and specific software such as HYSIS.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Experience with Electrical engineering in power plants.
• Experience with Electrical engineering integration with renewable energy (wind, solar, battery).
• Experience with "Behind the meter" aka "microgrid" systems.
• Experience with Plant interconnection (generation and load) process.
• Experience with Grid planning modeling.
• Professional Engineering Certification.
