[Hiring] Senior Electrical Engineer @Revamp Engineering

Role Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in Power System Studies, your day-to-day work directly shapes the performance and reliability of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead detailed system studies including:

• Short circuit analysis
• Arc flash analysis
• Load flow analysis
• Harmonic analysis

You will also be responsible for:

• Designing collection systems
• Building interconnection models
• Producing clear, client-ready reports that drive real project decisions

Working closely with project teams and clients, you will manage multiple active projects, review technical deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and apply advanced tools like ETAP and PSCAD to streamline analysis and improve outcomes. You will play a central role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that accelerate the clean energy transition.

This role can be performed remotely from either the US or Canada. Salary range advertised above is in USD. In CAD, the range is $CAD 233,000 - 255,000.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of a U.S. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field plus five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or Canadian P.Eng) license preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP.
• 2 years of experience as a solar PV systems or energy storage electrical engineer.

Requirements

• Perform and lead highly complex system studies including protective device coordination and analyses.
• Lead the design of collection systems, including cable routing and cable sizing.
• Independently prepare interconnection application packages and set up load flow and dynamic models.
• Prepare and manage drawings of grid interconnection and collection systems for interconnection applications.
• Create equipment specifications and apply deep knowledge of renewable energy systems.
• Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Independently evaluate, select, and adapt procedures and criteria.
• Develop new techniques and improved processes, materials, or products.
• Support client interaction across multiple projects and portfolios.
• Act as the main point of contact for a discipline or project team across portfolios.
• Create and oversee reports and presentations that communicate studies performed, solutions developed, and value delivered.
• Prepare proposals for professional engineering services across projects or portfolios.
• Review and finalize scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate document preparation and project activities across multiple major projects.
• Supervise, train, and mentor assigned staff engineers.
• Lead all staff necessary to complete assignments.
• Advise upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist.
• Collaborate on complex or unconventional problems.
• Oversee projects within a portfolio or suite of projects.
• Perform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
• Perform other tasks as required.
