[Hiring] Product Install Engineer - Chemical Analysis @KLA

Role Description

The KLA Services team is seeking an Installation Engineer (IE2) to join our service organization. The role involves:

• Installation of new tools at customer sites, following all procedures for consistent results within specified cycle times.
• Evaluating, analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting technical equipment problems related to installation.
• Troubleshooting and repairing moderate system-level problems, seeking help from senior Engineers and Management when necessary.
• Preparing field service reports and daily passdowns on installation progress and non-conformances.
• Obtaining necessary international travel documents and managing personal affairs for extended travel.
• Managing personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities during travel.
• Traveling domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
• Working with Senior Engineers, TSE, or Managers to formulate and carry out Plans of Action (POAs).

Qualifications

• Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years related work experience.

Requirements

• Analytical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.
• Knowledge of computer theory, various operating systems, and applicable operating system software knowledge, including Networking in a Windows, Unix, or Novell environment.
• Basic automation functionality on assigned equipment set.
• Must successfully complete required and ongoing technical training to acquire thorough knowledge of company equipment, including installation procedures and diagnostic techniques.
• Competent with the MS Office suite of applications.
• Attain and maintain Installation Certification Level 3 - Proficiency in complete product installation and system-level repair of a product within a family is required.
• Semiconductor industry process knowledge, required to take the KT class for Introduction to semiconductor processes.
• Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.
• Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines since installation cycle times are committed to customers and may impact customer production.
