[Hiring] Principal Electrical Expert Global Design Standards @NTT Global Data Centers

Role Description

The Principal Electrical expert is a key member of the NTT Global Design Standards team, working on and delivering translation of the NTT GID Design ’Product’ defined Owner Project Requirements (OPR) into the Global Reference Design (GRD). They provide regional understanding of the GRD and its engineering details as it is required to be localized and deployed through third party Architects and Engineers (A/Es). They will support project design reviews at all stages of project design and delivery on an as required basis.

They will interface with internal stakeholders from parallel business functions, the NTT Product team, regional design delivery teams, and design managers. They will consult with members of our Engineer, Expansion, Construction, Operations, Product, and Sales teams to ensure optimal design decisions are made with careful assessment of risks and opportunities.

They will work closely with the Technical Director of Global Design Standards to drive effectiveness, efficiency, innovation, speed to market, and predictability at scale in the development and adoption of best practices design process and procedures. They will support in the management of the Global Design Standards team advising on workload, prioritization, and development areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (required)
• Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred)
• Membership of a professional institution recognized as relevant to the data center sector (preferred)

Requirements

• 10 or more years of industry experience with minimum 5 years specifically in data centers.
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary design teams, preferably in a leading role.
• Experience as design consultant / client engineer / operations engineer / contractor engineering.
• International experience and outlook both in type of company and project experience.
• Ideally has experience with hyperscale customers.

Benefits

• Base salary for this position is: $160,000 - $235,000
