Role Description

Position: Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Expert — Data Centers

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100–$140/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 5–10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review complex engineering tasks in data-center environments.
• Focus on cooling, hydronic systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Check engineering assumptions, calculations, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with codes and equipment data.
• Identify ambiguities and improve task prompts, acceptance criteria, and rubrics.
• Validate corrected tasks end to end.
• Produce clear technical findings.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: 2+ years of experience in data-center or mission-critical MEP design.
• Strong command of data-center systems and relevant codes.
• Ability to interpret large document sets and explain technical issues clearly.
• Preferred: Experience at a leading multidisciplinary or consulting engineering firm.
• PE or recognized commissioning credential.
