Role Description

We are seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in one of the following Pond offices: Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tampa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA, or as a Remote Employee. The ideal candidate will possess 0-2 years of related MEP design engineering experience and a passion for growth, collaboration, and innovation.

• Take a leadership role in the design of mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Mentor junior-level MEP engineering professionals, guiding them through their career development and providing technical support.
• Support proposal efforts, ensuring that design projects are clearly defined and accurately scoped.
• Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies, providing opportunities to broaden knowledge and deepen skill set in building systems design.
• Work independently, managing and efficiently moving through a variety of design stages, from concept plans to construction documentation.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead projects and interact with clients while maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
• 0-2 years of related MEP design experience.
• Proficiency with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.
• Experience mentoring and training junior-level employees.
• Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts, and interfacing with clients.
• PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred, with plans to obtain PE license in the near future.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to multi-tasking.
• Self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
• Ability and desire to continue learning and growing professionally.
