Role Description

• Reading blueprints sent from customers and assessing how to manufacture the parts.
• Reviewing and checking drawings of other engineers.
• Developing programs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) such as SOLIDWORKS, ANVIL, and ESPIRIT software to manufacture the parts required by the customer.
• Monitoring the manufacturing process assigned and checking for improvements to decrease production time, reduce material wastage, or increase production efficiency.
• Planning and estimating how the manufacturing steps are to be made and assigned.
• Checking for new methods of manufacturing to improve the quality and quantity of required parts.
• Preparing drawings and layouts required for manufacturing products.
• Operating complex design software such as Solidworks, PTC CREO, ANSYS Simulation, CATIA, and CAM software.
• Making drawings with strong mathematics knowledge in geometry, algebra, and calculus to create the best program for the required product.
• Applying critical thinking to evaluate alternate solutions and find the most appropriate solution for the required product.
• Utilizing mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used for manufacturing to determine the necessary tool, method, and machine for each part.
• Preparing complex drawings and manufacturing methods using mathematics and critical thinking to achieve the required product for complex manufacturing.
• Analyzing, understanding, and rectifying any problems from the drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematics knowledge in geometry, algebra, and calculus.
• Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in manufacturing.
• Experience with complex design software such as Solidworks, PTC CREO, ANSYS Simulation, CATIA, and CAM software.
