Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Allianz Engineering Inspection Services as a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor.

As a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor, you'll carry out statutory inspections of:

• lifts
• cranes
• lifting equipment
• materials handling equipment
• associated plant across a variety of customer sites

Using your engineering knowledge and practical experience, you'll provide expert guidance that supports safe and compliant operations.

Working independently across your allocated area, you'll build strong customer relationships while managing your own inspection schedule. You'll be supported by experienced Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders, with access to ongoing technical development and a comprehensive induction and training programme.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving inspections across:

• industrial environments
• commercial environments
• construction environments

including working at height and accessing a range of operational settings where required.

• Able to undertake the responsibilities of the role, including visiting customer sites and carrying out inspections in a range of working environments.
• Committed to continuously developing your knowledge and expertise within engineering inspection.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a mechanical engineering related discipline.
• Practical engineering experience working with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, lifting equipment or similar mechanical plant.
• Experience gained within maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection environments.
• Full UK driving license.
• Effective organisational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems.
