[Hiring] Lifecycle Engineer @CACI International

Role Description

Support engineering life cycle management engineering and planning for assigned Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships including the development of long range (5-30 year) plans for maintenance, operation, repair, and support of TRANSALT.

• Provide ship availability Program Management (PM) and technical support to Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels.
• Work with the Availability Management Team (AMT) to accomplish the specific tasks for assigned work items.
• Assist in observing, verifying, and reporting on engineering requirements associated with the maintenance, repair, and modification of the vessel. Provide all observations, reports, and recommendations to the Principal Port Engineer (PPE).
• Provide technical services for engineering development and documentation, including support in areas of naval architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and marine engineering.
• Conduct work packages and studies to support vessels and upcoming availabilities, providing replacement and repair solutions and upgrades or improvements.
• Assist AMT, Life Cycle Management Division Director, Engineering Type Desk, and PPE in Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management and Port Engineer Information System (SAMM/PENG) Program to assist the PPE in preparing for availabilities and post availability reports.

Place of Performance:

• When assigned supporting the Life Cycle Management Division Director, Engineering Type Desk and Principal Port Engineer (PPE), work will be performed from the contractor’s facility or remote work locations.
• When assigned to a ship availability, the contractor will work in AMT office space at the assigned shipyard or in some cases for engineering work from contractor’s facility.

DOD Secret Clearance Preferred.

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifecycle management and engineering support.
• Knowledge of naval architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and marine engineering.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret.
• Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% (Continental US).
