Role Description

Are you ready to safeguard and optimize the digital heart of power generation? As a Lead Field Services Engineer, you are the technical specialist responsible for the seamless operation and security of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and control systems. You will bridge the gap between high-performance industrial operations and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity. In this role, you ensure our customers’ plants run efficiently and securely by providing expert support for critical control architecture while expanding your expertise into advanced cyber-resilience.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Drive Operational Excellence: Lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HMI, SCADA, and control system hardware and software in complex industrial environments.
• Solve Technical Challenges: Troubleshoot intricate HMI and control issues—from logic interfaces and network communications to application services—ensuring plant availability and system performance.
• Lead Project Execution: Act as the primary technical contact on-site, coordinating with project managers and customers to execute pre-commissioning, functional tests, and start-up support while maintaining meticulous documentation.
• Champion OT Cybersecurity: Perform essential cyber-resilience tasks, including asset verification, system hardening, and endpoint protection checks, providing the front-line defense necessary to protect critical infrastructure.
• Advise & Collaborate: Translate complex technical and cyber findings into clear, actionable language for plant operators and senior stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands the risks and the solutions.
• Uphold Integrity: Maintain a "Safety-First" approach, ensuring all site activities strictly adhere to environmental, quality, and cybersecurity protocols.

Qualifications

• Substantive experience in HMI, SCADA, or turbine control systems in power generation or industrial settings.
• Solid grasp of how industrial control systems, networks, and Windows environments interact.
• Comfortable working with HMI/SCADA platforms, performing screen navigation, alarm and trend reviews, and basic configuration.
• Familiarity with GE control platforms or similar turbine/plant automation architecture is highly valued.
• Practical understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls) and Windows server/workstation troubleshooting.
• High degree of technical maturity, allowing calm and precise responses under pressure.
• Eager to grow expertise in OT cybersecurity and translate technical knowledge into robust, secure operational outcomes.
• Prepared to travel to support diverse project sites, including international or offshore locations.
• Proficient in English; fluency in Spanish is highly valued.
