[Hiring] Intern in Engineering @Stratus Team LLC

Role Description

As an Engineering Intern, you will support engineers, designers, and project teams across a variety of disciplines and project types. You will gain hands-on exposure to the design process, technical documentation, field conditions, industry standards, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery. Throughout the internship, you will contribute to active assignments while receiving guidance, feedback, and mentorship from experienced professionals. Specific responsibilities may vary based on your academic background, interests, office location, and the needs of the project team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with engineering drawings, calculations, reports, research, data collection, and other project documentation.
• Support project teams with design development, technical analysis, quality reviews, and coordination across disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and other learning opportunities while contributing to assigned project tasks.

What You’ll Learn

• How engineering principles, design tools, codes, standards, and established processes are applied to real projects.
• How technical information is researched, analyzed, documented, reviewed, and communicated throughout the project lifecycle.
• How engineers, designers, architects, contractors, clients, and other partners collaborate to deliver coordinated solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or applicable associate degree program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering, mathematics, science, design, or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and an interest in applying classroom learning to real-world projects.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Previous internship, co-op, laboratory, research, design-team, or project-based experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, engineering analysis software, or other technical design tools.
• Involvement in engineering, technical, academic, or community organizations and activities.
