Role Description

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Dublin, is seeking both Intermediate Civil Drainage Engineers and Senior Civil Drainage Engineers to join their growing team. The successful candidates will primarily work on the design and delivery of residential developments, together with urban regeneration and industrial development projects, taking schemes from concept design through planning approval and detailed design.

Depending on your level of experience, you will be involved in the design and delivery of:

• Designing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) for residential and mixed-use developments
• Surface water drainage design
• Foul sewer and wastewater network design
• Water distribution infrastructure
• Hydraulic modelling and drainage calculations
• Flood Risk Assessments in accordance with OPW guidance
• Hydrological studies
• Culvert sizing and hydraulic design
• Preparing drainage strategies and supporting planning applications
• Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams, architects and planners throughout the project lifecycle

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, delivering practical and sustainable engineering solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
• 2-5 years' civil drainage design experience (Intermediate Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Approximately 10-15 years' drainage design experience (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Chartered Engineer (Engineers Ireland or equivalent) for Senior Civil Drainage Engineer

Requirements

• Experience with residential or development infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Experience using Causeway Flow, Site 3D, Civil 3D or similar software
• Understanding of Irish Water Codes of Practice, CIRIA C753 and the Greater Dublin Strategic Drainage Study (GDSDS) is advantageous
• UK / Irish experience essential
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status (Intermediate Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn (Intermediate Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Extensive experience delivering residential development drainage projects (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Experience undertaking Flood Risk Assessments and hydraulic modelling (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Proficient in Causeway Flow, Site 3D and Civil 3D (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Experience leading projects from concept through planning and detailed design (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership (Senior Civil Drainage Engineer)
