Role Description

The Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, focusing on developing and deploying global standards to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Define global process standards and equipment standards, deploying them across Aero Alliance factories.
  • Control and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including:
    • Facility integration
    • Acceptance testing
    • Machine health checks & calibrations
    • Preventative maintenance plans
    • Spare parts strategy
    • Technical & technology training
  • Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes.
  • Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications.
  • Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as:
    • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improving quality processes.
  • Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
  • Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment.
  • Participate in the design and installation of new equipment, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Use high levels of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (for US candidates).
  • 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality (for US candidates).
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role with expertise in Aeroderivative, Aircraft Engine, or Gas Turbine Testing and Balancing (for US candidates).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
  • Project Management skills and experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience (for Non-US candidates).
  • Significant years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality (for Non-US candidates).
  • Proven knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes (for Non-US candidates).
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics (for Non-US candidates).
  • Fluency in English in writing and speaking (for Non-US candidates).

Requirements

  • 10+ years technical experience with expertise in Aeroderivative, Aircraft Engine, or Gas Turbine Testing and Balancing (for US candidates).
  • Direct leadership experience of both professional and production employees.
  • Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams.
  • Experience leading Kaizen teams.
  • Experience with Zero Defect (Built in Quality) framework and elements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Managed a cost center or P&L with a solid understanding of operational metrics.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Deep manufacturing technical expertise.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology.
