[Hiring] Engineering Manager, IAM and Trust & Safety @Calendly

Role Description

As an Engineering Manager at Calendly, you will play a crucial role in shaping our platform’s security and integrity by leading both Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Trust & Safety initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining IAM services that empower our engineering teams.
• Overseeing Trust & Safety efforts, tackling fraud prevention, abuse mitigation, and compliance.
• Mentoring and growing a diverse team of IAM and Trust & Safety engineers.
• Working closely with product-focused engineering teams to understand their needs.
• Deep diving into data services to discover new capabilities and insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a people leader within a platform engineering organization.
• Domain expertise with customer-facing Identity & Access Management (IAM) & Trust & Safety.
• Proven experience in Trust & Safety, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation.
• Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of detection and prevention systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing.
• Experience building, operating, and maintaining high-traffic, high-availability platforms.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Availability for participation in on-call rotation.
