Role Description

The Electrical Inspector - Lightning Protection, Remote Full-Time is responsible for performing field inspections of lightning protection systems of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with applicable standards, issuing reports, and communicating with clients. This position has the potential for 75% travel.

Location: Remote in Omaha, Nebraska region. This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in the construction or electrical trades, preferably as an Installer, Technician, Electrician, Contractor or Electrical Inspector
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Ability to work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to adhere to site PPE requirements and work safely on an active construction site
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to be responsive and provide good customer communication and service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, with hours ranging from 0 to 40+ per week
• Must have access to the internet
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to travel 75% as needed, including air and overnight travel
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry at least 40 pounds
• Ability to climb at least 30 feet
• Ability to work with various levels of noise
