Role Description

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course "ETHICS FOR DESIGN, AI & ROB (Online)" (Course Code: DTO5310) for the 2027 Winter Semester.

• Number of credits: 3
• Work Hours: 39
• Hourly Rate: $239.47 (2024-2025)
• Course Schedule: Wednesday 19:00-22:00
• Language of instruction: English
• Competence in second language: Passive

Qualifications

• PhD graduate who has completed DTI 5310 or IAI 5310 or equivalent.
• Active researcher in the field of ethical artificial intelligence.
• Proficient in applied ethics and contemporary philosophy, particularly in technology ethics and its implications for AI applications.
• Experience in proposing or applying practical frameworks, methodologies, and tools for addressing ethical issues in research.
• Experience in teaching or assisting with graduate-level courses.
• Preference for applicants who have previously taught or assisted with this course.

Requirements
