You will be the face and voice of Edmentum for students who depend on you to show up every day, live on camera, fully present and fully prepared. As a
Virtual Business Education Teacher
, you bring your classroom to life through a screen: connecting with students in real time, personalizing learning for every individual, and creating an online environment where students feel seen, supported, and motivated to succeed. Live, synchronous, on-camera instruction is the heart of this role β it is what our students, families, and partner schools depend on every instructional day. This role is for educators who thrive in a fast-moving digital environment and who believe that great live teaching is the core of great learning, regardless of the medium.

Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that inspires student participation and achievement.

Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt your approach to meet each student where they are.

Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records that keep students and families informed and on track.

Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that fosters trust and shared accountability for learning outcomes.

Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Education or a related field.

Active state teaching license in Alabama, Minnesota, and/or Nevada in CTE-Business Education grades 6-12.

Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.

Confidence and engagement on camera, able to teach live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day.

Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

Data-informed: ability to read student performance data and use it to adjust live instruction.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Highly organized and self-directed, with time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment.

Commitment to professional growth, maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
