Role Description
The Student Success Coordinator serves as the strategic and operational lead for student engagement, attendance, and success programming across JCA of Ohio, VPA of Ohio, and PCA of Ohio. This role ensures the consistent implementation of high-quality Student Success systems across all three schools, aligning to network expectations while adapting to each school’s unique student population.
As a member of the administrative leadership team, the coordinator oversees Success Coaches, leads and develops onboarding and engagement programming, and partners closely with school leadership to remove barriers to student achievement. This role requires strong cross-school leadership, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to build systems that drive measurable improvements in attendance, persistence, engagement, and academic outcomes.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Services, or related field (required)

4+ years of experience in a K–12 educational setting (virtual experience preferred)

Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing programs

Strong knowledge of student onboarding, student engagement strategies, and intervention systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable plans

Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities across schools in a fast-paced environment

High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
Requirements

Serve as the Student Success leader across all three schools, ensuring consistency and fidelity of implementation

Directly supervise and manage Success Coaches across JCA, VPA, and PCA, including hiring input, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
-
Supervise and develop Success Coaches, including coaching, feedback, and performance management
-
Design, implement, and monitor Student Success programming aligned to onboarding and engagement frameworks
-
Lead and manage re-enrollment efforts across all three schools, ensuring a coordinated, data-driven approach to retaining students year over year
-
Partner with school leadership and Operations to execute re-enrollment campaigns, including communication plans, outreach to undecided/unknown families, and tracking of return intent

Act as a mentor and role model for staff, building a culture of accountability and student-centered support

Step in to support or backfill coaching responsibilities as needed

Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive onboarding experience for all new students and families

Ensure consistent implementation of welcome calls, including expectations setting, relationship building, and early barrier identification

Oversee and support the facilitation of live Orientation sessions for students and families, ensuring high attendance and engagement

Develop and implement Parent University sessions to equip families with tools, resources, and confidence to support student success in a virtual environment

Establish clear onboarding milestones and ensure accountability across teams

Design and maintain tracking systems to monitor new student engagement, participation, and early risk indicators

Analyze onboarding data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across schools

Partner with Enrollment, Operations, and Academic teams to ensure a seamless transition from enrollment to active academic engagement

Implement proactive outreach strategies for students who do not engage within the first days/weeks of enrollment
-
Lead the development and execution of tiered outreach and intervention systems
-
Oversee identification of disengaged students and ensure timely, effective interventions and Success Plan implementation

Partner with Principals, Counselors, and staff to address academic, attendance, and behavioral barriers
-
Ensure alignment between engagement efforts, re-engagement strategies, and graduation pathways
-
Support implementation of PBIS and other student motivation/recognition systems
-
Ensure consistent processes, expectations, and communication across JCA, VPA, and PCA
-
Standardize best practices while allowing for school-level customization
-
Serve as the primary escalation point for student success and engagement concerns
-
Collaborate with the Executive HOS to align strategy, priorities, and outcomes across schools
-
Monitor and analyze student engagement, attendance, and performance data across all schools
-
Track and report key metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
-
Drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement cycles
-
Ensure accurate data entry and integrity within systems
-
Oversee daily workflow and task management for the Success Team
-
Ensure clear communication of priorities, deadlines, and expectations
-
Support staff evaluations through data collection, observation, and feedback
-
Facilitate team meetings, professional development, and training

The annual starting salary for this position is between $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
