Role Description

Studyville is hiring Part-Time ACT Instructors to help students raise their ACT scores through targeted, high-impact test-prep instruction delivered live and virtually via Zoom. Instructors lead a full cohort of students using Studyville's provided ACT guides, curriculum, and sample/practice tests — no lesson planning required — to build content mastery and test-taking strategy across all ACT sections.

• Deliver live, virtual ACT prep instruction via Zoom to a full cohort of students using Studyville's provided guides, materials, and practice tests.
• Use Studyville's ACT curriculum with no independent lesson planning.
• Review available pretest results before instruction begins to guide instructional emphasis.
• Track student progress — including practice test scores — and daily attendance.
• Be a reliable, positive, motivating presence for students preparing for the ACT.
• Support students in building confidence, ownership, and academic leadership throughout the cohort.

Qualifications

• Personal ACT composite score of 33 or higher, achieved within the past 12 months, with an official score report available for verification.
• Comfortable and confident teaching ACT content and test-taking strategy in a live virtual setting.
• Demonstrated ability to help students meaningfully raise their scores.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting as required by Louisiana state law.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable access to a computer or device with a functioning camera and microphone, and a stable high-speed internet connection.
• Prior experience tutoring, teaching, or coaching students in ACT or other test prep (preferred).
• Prior experience teaching in a live virtual/online setting (preferred).
• Current teaching certification (preferred).
