[Hiring] Training Officer @World Relief

Role Description

World Relief seeks a skilled communicator with excellent administrative and organizational skills with experience in initial resettlement who can:

• Plan and facilitate PIR Network Trainings.
• Facilitate virtual cultural orientations to new arrivals.
• Create technical assistance modules and resources to support the Program of Initial Resettlement.
• Coordinate peer training across offices.
• Organize resettlement conferences.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, and an attentive listener. This person must be able to communicate effectively across multiple audiences and platforms. They must be detail and excellence oriented, combining technical expertise in initial resettlement with strong communication and organizational skills to ensure high-quality programming across World Relief’s U.S. network.

Qualifications

• Mature and personal Christian faith.
• Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief.
• Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.
• Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and an attentive listener.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to perform research & data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Experience working in a grant-compliance context.
• Domestic travel up to 20%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Social Work or in a related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in refugee resettlement work.
• Familiarity with IRIS, Dynamics, SharePoint, and Asana.
• Overseas and/or cross-cultural experience.
• Experience working in Preferred Communities and the PC Gaps/IAR programs or Initial Resettlement.
