Role Description
The Training and Development Specialist reports to the Specialist, Training & Development II, and is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, impactful in-person training sessions to program staff. This position applies comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s student outcomes and objectives with a strong understanding of adult learning strategies to deliver highly effective training.

Travel across multiple geographic areas to deliver training and development to program staff.

Collaborate with the Program Content Specialist to ensure trainings align with student outcomes and goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA) in education/related field/experience from a four-year college or university; or minimum of 3+ years’ experience in training and facilitation in respect to grade level area (elementary and early learning or older youth).

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in education/expanded learning preferred.

Knowledge of Adult Learning principles.

Experience in delivering training to large and small groups of diverse learners to scaffold learning.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Well-versed in learning design, project-based learning, and familiar with curricular providers, and educational technology and software opportunities.

Benefits

Salary: $70,305 (targeted compensation for the position).
