Role Description
The Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training materials that enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of staff, volunteers, and community partners. This role ensures that training aligns with organizational goals and is evidence-based, culturally competent, and trauma-informed. The Training Coordinator works closely with department heads to identify training needs and creates a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, public health, social work, psychology, human resources, or related field and/or minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing and delivering training to adult learners.

Lived experience with substance use recovery is highly preferred.

Experience in recovery services, harm reduction, or behavioral health settings.

Certified Peer Support Specialist or trainer certification a plus.

Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.

Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other instructional design tools (Teams, Canva, LMS platforms).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Passion for the nonprofit sector and the organizationβs mission.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people.

Creative and innovative approach to training and development.

Must be 18 or older.

Be able to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.

Be able to complete a background check (prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant).
Requirements

Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.

Work is performed in an office environment with regular use of standard office equipment.

Remote work may be authorized.

Occasional travel is required for meetings, conferences, and events.
