[Hiring] Training Consultant @Nationwide

Role Description

This role will have a primary focus on designing, delivering, and continuously improving internal training for our Personal Lines field sales organization. The Training Consultant will:

• Collaborate closely with territory leaders, sales leaders, and internal business partners to assess learning needs.
• Build targeted curricula and facilitate ongoing enablement that strengthens execution of our Personal Lines field sales strategies and processes.
• Provide support to our external trainers, when needed.

Qualified candidates must have P&C Insurance experience. Ideal candidates will bring:

• Recent, hands-on field sales experience (within the last three years), preferably working directly with independent agencies and/or territory sales teams.
• The ability to translate field experience into clear, actionable learning experiences that drive adoption, confidence, and measurable performance improvement for our internal sales associates.

This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree desired, preferably in an adult education-related field or progress toward an advanced degree in a related field.
• Certification in recognized field of expertise (CPCU, AIC, API, AU, etc.) desired.
• Progress towards learning certificate such as CPLP desired.

Requirements

• Typically requires 10 or more years of experience in area of technical expertise.
• Additional experience in project leadership, supervisory or adult learning desired.
• Exceptional understanding of adult education concepts, learning styles, evaluation methods, and process/workflow development.
• Strong instructional design and eye for business.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven track record to explain sophisticated technical concepts.
• Strong project management and consulting skills.
• Ability to set priorities, manage time, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
