Role Description
The Robotic Surgical Technologies (RST) business within Medtronic Surgical is focused on advancing minimally invasive care through robotic-assisted surgical solutions that support improved procedural efficiency, clinical outcomes, and patient care. The Sales Training function enables commercial teams through the development and delivery of technical, clinical, and sales capability programs that support product adoption, customer engagement, and commercial execution.
This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 30% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
Primary Responsibilities

Identify training needs: Drive the collaboration of the different regional stakeholders to identify skill or knowledge gaps based on roles and responsibilities.

Training development: Partner with Global and Regional departments to deliver training courses that align with organizational goals and objectives and when required/or needed the principle of 80% standardization 20% customization will be implemented.

Training delivery: Deliver clinical and technical content effectively using digital resources and methods such as Blended, Synchronous and Asynchronous learning.

Training evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of the training by measuring learning outcomes through evaluations, surveys, and feedback.

Team collaboration: Foster cross departmental training collaboration that promotes a culture of learning that enhances communication efficiency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in sales training, clinical education, commercial training, medical device sales, clinical support, or a related commercial healthcare function; OR Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Requirements

Experience within robotic-assisted surgery, surgical technologies, or the medical device industry.

Experience training sales representatives, clinical specialists, or field-based commercial teams.

Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning management systems.

Experience supporting new hire onboarding and ongoing commercial capability development programs.

Demonstrated ability to analyze training outcomes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. Β§ 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $110,400.00 - $165,600.00.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
